Dr Alexey Borshch | Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Alexey Borshch is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon in Brisbane with a clinical focus on hip and knee replacement, sports knee and ankle surgery, and orthopaedic trauma. He consults at Queensland Surgery Centre in Hamilton and performs private surgery at Brisbane Private Hospital.
His practice includes total and partial knee replacement, complex and revision knee replacement, hip replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage surgery, patella stabilisation, ankle surgery and fracture care.
Dr Borshch takes an individual approach to treatment. A consultation begins with understanding the patient’s symptoms, previous treatment, medical history and personal goals. Clinical examination and appropriate imaging are then used to clarify the diagnosis and discuss suitable treatment options.
Surgery is not always required. Depending on the condition, treatment may include observation, physiotherapy, medication, injections or an operation. Where surgery is being considered, Dr Borshch discusses the proposed procedure, alternatives, expected recovery, limitations and important risks so that patients can make an informed decision.
